Alicia completed her Bachelors in Neuroscience and Physiology at the University of Toronto in Canada before moving overseas to obtain her Masters in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
Prior to moving abroad, Alicia volunteered at a Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Centre during her undergraduate where she was able to marry up her passion of science and rehab. Since graduating from her Masters, Alicia has been working for the NHS as a physiotherapist in East Lothian. She uses a hands on approach to physiotherapy, gaining skills in manual therapy that when combined with specific exercises get great results when treating musculoskeletal conditions.
Outside of work Alicia enjoys going to the gym, taking care of her abundant plant collection, and hiking – with a particular interest in reaching the summit of many Munros this year!
